  This route showcases Vancouver's stunning beaches and parks. It begins in False Creek, leads to Spanish Banks beach and viewpoint, and returns along the seawall with spectacular skyline views.

  This ride primarily follows separated bike paths, but it is a longer route that includes some gravel paths and short uphill sections.

  The route includes local street bikeways and quieter neighborhood streets shared with motor vehicles. Expect a few hills along the way.

  How to use route maps on Google Maps

  1. Open the route:
     • Select the link to open the route in the Google Maps app on your mobile device or web browser.
  2. View route and points of interest:
     • The route and points of interest will automatically display on your mobile device.
     • Use "View Map Legend" to turn layers on or off based on your preferences.
  3. Save the route for future use:
     • Zoom in and select the line representing the route (colored pink, blue, or purple).
     • Select 'Save', then choose where to save your route within Google Maps.
  4. Navigate to points of interest:
     • Select the next point of interest along the route to start navigation in the bike category of Google Maps.
  5. Adjust route if needed:
     • To make sure navigation follows our recommended route, add an extra stop by selecting any point along the route and selecting 'Add Stop', even if you don't plan to stop there. This will make sure that the route follows our recommended path.
  6. Access saved routes:
     • If you cannot see the map at any point during your ride, open the "Saved" section in the bottom navigation bar of the Google Maps app.
     • Select your saved map to display it.
